OK, so we all complain about how badly our job sucks, but you really have nothing to complain about when compared to the worst of the worst 3rd world jobs. Have a look at some below.
- World of Warcraft Gold Farmer – What started with online items being sold on eBay has slowly turned into a large industry with some cybercafes being converted to full scale online gold farming businesses. There are even reports of prisons using their inmates to farm online money (making millions of real world dollars in the process). An incredibly monotonous, low paying, eye straining job.
- Horse Breeder – Professional horse breeders can earn some serious cash but it also means then need to stand with a fake vagina in hand, wait for a horse to begin mating with another horse and then jump in the way. Having a massive member swirling around your head daily must lead to some really unfortunate nightmares.
- Used Toilet Paper Removalist - Some countries have the unfortunate problem of small sewer pipes which means some hotels employ people to stand by the toilets and every time one is used they head in afterwards and fish out the offending paper… nice.
- Electronics Factory Assembler – Requiring to work up to 160 hours of overtime per month (much non-paid), most employees work and sleep inside the factory 6-7 days a week earning 94 cents (US) an hour and then they send most of that money back to their families in rural areas. You basically give your entire life to a company and then are expected to be ‘lucky’ to be working there, which sadly many feel they are.
- Chicken Factory Worker – Earning the insignificant amount of $1 (US) a day is the job of chicken carcass sorter. The hours are just as long as a factory assembler and the work just as monotonous, except with the added problem of possibly contracting H5N1 (bird flu) which many workers have unfortunately died from.
- Call Centre Escalation Manager – Call centre workers generally face a barrage of irate callers but when the callers reach a level of anger the average worker can’t handle they then get forwarded to an Escallation Manager, who is dedicated to dealing with (and sometimes dealing out) a huge amount of abuse. So if your dream job is being shouted at for 8 hours a day then you’re mental and this job may just be for you.
