1. Increase your Field Of Vision up to 110, this helps you to see enemies more quickly as they’re hovering around you.  This can be changed in the graphics section of the menu.
2. Shadows are incredibly important for helping you to understand the distances of enemies, if your graphics are set to low then you won’t see these, use this tribes.ini file to activate them but still have low graphics (a guide on installing the tribes.ini file can be found here).
3. When being chased, listen out for a chaser’s spinfusor discs or bolt shots, once you learn the timing you’ll know when you can land with safety (straight after they release a shot) and when to jet back in the air (just before they’re about to shoot).
4. The thickness of the arrow icons above Tribers heads define if they’re light, medium or heavy.
5. When in observer mode you can toggle the scoreboard on or off using the X key.
6. Increase your mouse responsiveness by using this guide, this should help you to better track onto someone when using the auto-fire weapons, such as the Raider SMG rifle.
7. If you’re trying to become a good capper you should use the ‘Egocentric’ and ‘Safe Fall’ perks.  ’Egocentric’ lets you shoot yourself (with less damage) to increase your speed and ‘Safe Fall’ protects you from shrike rams.
8. If you want to become a better dueller try equipping the ‘Potential Energy’ perk, when equipped if you get shot you receive an energy bonus, meaning you can hover in the air for much longer, raining down shots.
9. Watch hi-level Tribes Ascend matches on TribesCast and also matches in First Person View, as they’ll show the most effective loadouts and tactics currently being used.
10. Swaying backward and forwards while jetting directly upwards will give you a slight increase in elevation.
